Mixture Design Calculator
Here you can create a Mixture Design online. Simply choose one of the following design types—simplex‐centroid, simplex‐lattice, or extreme‐vertices—and enter your parameters.
Mixture Design
Mixture design is a statistical approach used to study how different proportions of ingredients (components) affect a response or outcome. It helps identify optimal blends by systematically varying component ratios.
Unlike full factorial designs or fractional factorial designs, where each factor (ingredient) can be varied independently across levels, mixture designs impose the constraint that all component proportions must sum to a constant (typically 100 % or 1).
Simplex-Centroid Calculator
In a simplex-centroid design, experiments are run at all vertices and the centroid of the mixture space. It’s ideal when interactions between components are expected to be significant.
Simplex-Lattice Calculator
A simplex-lattice design places experimental points at regular intervals (lattice points) within the simplex. It provides more resolution across the mixture space for detailed modeling.
Extreme-Vertices Calculator
Extreme-vertices designs focus on corner and edge points of the constrained region defined by component bounds. They are useful when some components have strict minimum or maximum proportions.
